Terms of Use
PassSize · Last updated October 5, 2026
1. Acceptance of terms
PassSize (the “App”) is developed and provided by Charonyu (App Store seller name: Cheng Yu Chiang, Taiwan). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these terms. These terms supplement Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement; if the two conflict, Apple’s standard license agreement prevails to the extent permitted by law. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. The service
The App provides photo and PDF compression, dimension limits, format conversion (HEIC, JPG, PNG, PDF), photo-to-PDF conversion, PDF merging and organizing, document scanning, PDF open passwords, a Private Vault, and processing of files directly from the share sheet. All processing takes place on your device, and files are not uploaded to our servers.
3. Accounts
The App does not require an account.
4. Free use and Lifetime Unlock
- The free version allows 5 processing runs. Each completed compression, conversion, combination or other processing action (which may include several files) counts as 1 run; saving files to the Private Vault does not count. The free-use count is recorded on your device, and deleting the App does not necessarily reset it.
- “Lifetime Unlock” is a one-time, non-consumable purchase. It is not a subscription and does not renew automatically. After purchase, you can use the processing features without a limit on the number of uses. The price is as shown in the App and on Apple’s purchase confirmation screen (NT$60 in Taiwan) and may differ by region.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account and processed by Apple; to request a refund, follow Apple’s refund policy and process.
- On a new phone or after reinstalling, you can use “Restore Purchase” in Settings with the same Apple Account. Purchases cannot be made from the share sheet; please open the PassSize app to complete a purchase.
5. Your files and responsibilities
- The photos, PDFs and scanned documents you process belong to you. Please process only files that you have the right to use.
- Compression reduces image quality or dimensions, and a PDF that exceeds the target size may be converted to image pages. We will do our best to reach the target you set, but we do not guarantee that the result will meet the upload requirements of any particular website or agency. Please check the result yourself before submitting.
- Please keep the original files after processing. Back up important documents yourself.
6. Private Vault
- Vault files are stored in the App’s storage on this device. The App does not sync them to other devices, and they do not appear in the Photos app (iOS device backups may include app data, depending on your backup settings). Deleting the App also removes the vault files.
- If you use an app-specific passcode and forget it, the only remedy is to erase all files in the vault and set it up again. We cannot recover the passcode or restore the files for you.
7. Prohibited conduct
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the App (except where expressly permitted by law)
- Use the App to forge or alter documents or for any other unlawful purpose
- Attempt to circumvent the purchase or free-use mechanism
- Redistribute or resell the App or any of its components
8. Intellectual property
The App’s code, interface design, icons and other materials belong to the developer or its licensors. Except for use permitted by Apple’s standard license agreement, they may not be copied or distributed.
9. Disclaimer
The App is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we do not warrant that the App will be free of errors or interruptions, or that processing results will be suitable for any particular purpose.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages (including lost files, failed submissions or data loss) arising from the use of, or inability to use, the App. Liability that the law does not allow to be excluded or limited is not affected by this section.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms and will update the date on this page. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by and construed under the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan). For disputes arising from these terms, the parties agree that the Taiwan Taipei District Court is the court of first instance, without affecting any rights you have under mandatory laws where you live.
