Privacy Policy
PassSize · Last updated October 4, 2026
PassSize is an iPhone app for compressing photos and PDFs and preparing documents for submission. This policy explains how the current version handles your files.
Files are processed on your device
For the photos, PDFs and scanned documents you choose, all processing, including compression, conversion, combining into PDF and encryption, is completed on your iPhone. PassSize does not send your files to servers of the operator or of any third party. Results are stored in the app’s storage, and you can clear the processing history in Settings.
Private Vault
Files saved to the vault are stored in the app’s storage with iOS Complete File Protection. If you choose Face ID or the device passcode, authentication is handled by iOS and the app cannot access your biometric data. If you choose an app-specific passcode, the passcode is kept only as a salted hash in the local Keychain and cannot be recovered; if you forget it, the app erases all files in the vault. Vault files do not appear in the Photos app.
Permissions
Photos: you pick specific photos through the system photo picker, and permission to add to your library is requested when you save results. Camera: used to take photos and scan documents. Face ID: used to unlock the Private Vault. You can change or revoke these permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
Share extension
When you use PassSize from another app’s share sheet, files are likewise processed only on your device.
Accounts, tracking and third parties
PassSize does not require an account. It has no ads, analytics SDKs or cross-app tracking, and it does not collect your personal data for the operator.
In-app purchase
“Lifetime Unlock” is an optional, one-time, non-consumable purchase; payment and refunds are handled by the Apple App Store. The free-use count is recorded on your device (including in the Keychain). PassSize does not receive your payment information.
Sharing
Files are handed to another app or service only when you actively choose to share them or save them to Files or Photos, and the privacy policy of that service applies to any further processing.
Retention and deletion
You can delete the processing history and the files in the vault at any time. Deleting the app removes its local data; the free-use count and the app passcode hash may remain in the device Keychain.
